About

Karyn Anderson began her PhD in Julie Teichroebs lab at the University of Toronto in 2021. Karyn’s research projects primarily focus on the ways that primates navigate their complex social relationships. She primarily works with the Rwenzori Angolan colobus (Colobus angolensis ruwenzorii) and vervet monkeys (Chlorocebus pygerythrus) near Lake Nabugabo, Uganda. Karyn has also led projects investigating research and publication biases and is particularly interested in the changing landscape around research on same-sex sexual behaviour in primates.
